2019. A Busy Beginning ....

I think I can say, this has been one of the hardest, (emotionally & physically) yet rewarding, best start to a New Year I have possibly had.

New Years - Good Friends

Christmas & New Year, pretty much came & went in a heartbeat.
Because we 'weren't doing' Christmas, it didn't really feel sparkly & warm & I was having real trouble with my stoma blocking over the entire season, on which I am still waiting for an appointment for to see another 'specialist'.

Nobody ever really has anything to look forward to in January, but I had a feeling this one would be different.

Within the same week, three days apart, I became an Auntie for the first time on my side of the family & also helped bring him into the world by being a birth partner to my brother Ben & sister in law Danielle...
And we moved! Bought our own house & moved into it!

After 36 hours of relentless contractions & several trips to Maccy D's, Dan gave birth to Beau Jaxon. A perfectly healthy baby boy. He is adorable & I fell in love with him instantly. I felt an instant bond.

It was a crazy couple of days as it was also a countdown to get our keys on the Friday for what would be our new home.

The wait was over & they were in my hands, after 35 years of battling to stay alive, 8 years of marriage to Stefan, countless conversations of I'll never have my own home.... I have done it.
We did it. Together, so much hard work, but we believed in one another & helped get to where we are today, with a massive thank you to Mr Mortgages of Paignton who were an absolute godsend in our journey....

11th January 2019
We will have been here for a fortnight this coming Friday. I am as settled as they come, it's like the place was made for me. The kids are over the moon they have a garden, Stefan is tired, but content. We have shut the door on an era at Leechwell Court & although I can't say I will miss it, it gave me 10 years of memories I shall never forget & to that I am eternally thankful.

Over the next few weeks my plans are to settle down in my new home, find places for all the little things, look after myself, now more than ever. I have my own house to look after & a husband to support...

And, now that the realisation has set in that children of my own will never happen for me...

I won't come to terms with it, (I don't think you ever can) but I can always look at it in a positive light. I have a nephew & a niece that I need to show the world too - bring them love, show them nature & introduce them to the world of Marvel!

I'll leave you with some photos now, as they often tell the story better than any old words....

A massive hug out there to my friends who are having a particularly hard time this month. Stay strong, thank you for reading xxxxxx
