Just going to update you with a small blog post whilst I have five minutes before getting little Miss Cookie some lunch.... My laptop is playing up big time & needs repairing so this will be brief!
It's been a crazy few weeks for us again with one thing & another. We had an awesome day at Chessington World of Adventures, the sun was shining but there was a nice breeze so we didn't get too hot. We had a great time but didn't get on too many rides as it was so busy with families & school trips, I would recommended to anyone going over the school hols to make sure you have 2 days there as there was lots we just didn't see or do but I'm sure one day we'd return again....

We welcomed my little Cookie monster into our home the following day after travelling to Bristol to meet her breeder, Josh - top bloke!
Cookie After Her Eggie Breakfast
The dogs have warmed to her (Kaos a little too much!) She's the most confident , funny little character ever, extremely well trained already using her litter tray & coming to her name. She just loves to play. I've already had her micro chipped & she had her vaccinations just before the weekend so it won't be long before the people of Totnes see me walking her on her lead & harness, along with Kimba & Kaos!
Cookie (On Top) & Her Brother Bailey
(Alica's Skunky) Sweeping :)
She already seems extremely popular with those that have had the pleasure of meeting her, I have walked her round the market by the civic a few times already cradled in my arms & it's taking us an hour to get home again because of the amount of people stopping us to stroke / ask questions or take photo's. I am totally in love with her...
Looking After My Mail!
At the beginning of last week, my corn hatchlings emerged from their eggs so I am just waiting for them to shed out now & then I can start feeding them up - adorable little worms they are, I absolutley love my hobby....
Tiny Corn Snakes
I had quite a drama at Harefield this time round with a few things going on, it was ridiculously hot, especially when it came to sleeping in Parkwood, but I was able to catch up with a few friends & best of all my report from Dr Carby was as good as I was hoping for. As long as I can keep bugs away & keep my lung function stable, look after my kidney beans & ticker, I shouldn't have to travel back up there until the beginning of October.... Go me!
This week itself as been incredibly hard emotionally, after hearing of three friends passing away, all within days of each other & all either affected with CF, post transplant or both. I try to keep myself postive & live day by day for both myself & my donor, & I know its what my friends would want too, but it never gets any easier, getting up & reading another young life has been taken far too young. Rest in peace you beautiful girls, I will miss our chats so much, Jess, Ayesha & Cerys.... <3
I celebrated two years with my beautiful lungs last weekend. Sadly, the day itself wasn't what I expected. People who I thought I would have heard from I didn't hear a dot, (& still haven't) but I guess that's life. It's a huge deal to me obviously but I need to remember my motto of not to expect & then you won't be disappointed! I spent time with the most important people in my life the following day & thats what matters.
